Passing away: regulating income tax online

The passing away of a family member is never easy. Grief is paired with the feelings of loss and sadness. Besides this, a lot of matters need to be arranged that concern money, including income tax. Until the start of 2023, it was not possible for Dutch citizens to authorize themselves for the tax matters for a deceased family member in an online matter.

Idenitity verification amongst older adults

ReadID, InnoValor

The SaaS platform ReadID allows users to verify their identity on a smartphone, by using the newest NFC technology. A good product is one that has the capacity to be accessible for all kinds of users. In this case study, the usability challenges that older adults experience when they make use of ReadID Ready are uncovered. Resulting in a more inclusive app design.

Website redesign

ExplainiT

In the summer of 2021, the ExplainiT company felt the need to renew its website. The existing website was no longer of this time; it consisted mostly of text, few visuals, didn't work on mobile and was very slow. Given that almost 50% of the current internet traffic takes place via a smartphone, the need for a mobile-friendly design was very great. In addition, there was a need to develop a new branding.
